Daily Prayer Day 254

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness.  No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful; later on, however, it produces the peaceable fruit of righteousness for those who have been trained by it.  Therefore, let us strengthen the hands that are weary and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for our feet, so that what is lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.  (Hebrews 12:10-13)

I know that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness, a God who relents from sending calamity.  (Jonah 4:2)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

My Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is Your name; You are the Holy One of Israel.  (Isaiah 47:4)

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who dwell in it.  For He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.  (Psalm 24:1-2)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Since I died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, I should not submit to its regulations as though I still belonged to it.  (Colossians 2:20)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

All things are for our sakes, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.  (2 Corinthians 4:15)

I pray that God may open to me a door for the word, so that I may speak the mystery of Christ and proclaim it clearly, as I ought to speak.  (Colossians 4:3-4)

Lord, I thank You that You are my Redeemer and that all things belong to You.  I thank You that in Christ I am no longer bound to the basic principles of this world, and I ask that I would seek to communicate the mystery of Christ to those in my sphere of influence.
