Daily Prayer Day 268

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

Death and Destruction lie open before the Lord;
How much more the hearts of men!  (Proverbs 15:11)

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But the Lord tests the hearts.  (Proverbs 17:3)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  If I should count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.  When I awake, I am still with You.  (Psalm 139:17-18)

Never did a man speak the way Jesus did.  (John 7:46)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Just as I received Christ Jesus the Lord, so I will walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as I was taught, and abounding in thanksgiving.  (Colossians 2:6-7)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather I will expose them.  (Ephesians 5:11)

I will put away all filthiness and the overflow of wickedness, and in meekness I will accept the word planted in me, which is able to save my soul.  (James 1:21)

Lord, I thank You for the preciousness of Your thoughts and for the authoritative words of Your Son.  I pray that I would be rooted and established in Christ Jesus, and I ask that I would put away the fruitless deeds of darkness and walk in Your light.
