Daily Prayer Day 27

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

You are my lamp, O Lord;
The Lord turns my darkness into light.
With Your help I can advance against a troop;
With my God I can leap over a wall.  (2 Samuel 22:29-30)

The joy of the Lord is my strength.  (Nehemiah 8:10)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

No one has ever seen God, but the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, has made Him known.  (John 1:18)

The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.  (Matthew 20:28)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

If I died with Christ, I believe that I will also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, cannot die again; death no longer has dominion over Him.  For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.  In the same way, I must consider myself to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.  (Romans 6:8-11)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will not steal, nor deal falsely, nor deceive others.  (Leviticus 19:11)

I will lay up Your words in my heart and in my soul and teach them to my children, talking about them when I sit in my house and when I walk along the way and when I lie down and when I rise up.  (Deuteronomy 11:18-19)

Lord, I thank You for Jesus Christ who made You known and gave His life for me.  I thank You for my new identity in Christ, and I ask that I would serve others by making Your word known to them.
