Daily Prayer Day 281

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

Your testimonies, which You have commanded,
Are righteous and trustworthy.
Your righteousness is everlasting,
And Your law is truth.  (Psalm 119:138, 142)

My heart is steadfast, O God;
I will sing praises with all my soul.
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing of You among the nations.
Your merciful love is higher than the heavens,
And Your truth reaches to the skies.  (Psalm 108:1-4)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

God fashions the hearts of all and understands all their works.  (Psalm 33:15)

God does not show favoritism but accepts those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.  (Acts 10:34-35)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Everyone who hears Your words and does them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  (Matthew 7:24)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will be self-controlled and alert; my adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  But I will resist him, standing firm in the faith, knowing that my brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.  (1 Peter 5:8-9)

I will not repay evil for evil to anyone, but I will pursue what is good for others.  (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

Lord, I thank You that You know each heart and that You accept all who truly seek You.  I pray that I would not only hear Your words but do them, and I ask that I would stand firm in the spiritual warfare and pursue what is good for others.
