Daily Prayer Day 338

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Cause me to hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have crushed may rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from Your presence
Or take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation
And uphold me with a willing spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners will be converted to You.  (Psalm 51:7-13)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I know that You can do all things and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.  (Job 42:2)

While Jesus was in the world, He was the light of the world.  For judgment He came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.  (John 9:5, 39)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Like Jesus, my food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work.   (John 4:34)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will be hospitable to others without grumbling.  (1 Peter 4:9)

I will remember those in prison as though bound with them, and those who are mistreated, since I myself am also in the body.  (Hebrews 13:3)

Lord, I thank You that none of Your purposes can be thwarted and that Jesus has illuminated our darkness.  I pray that I would do Your will and accomplish Your work, and I ask that I would be gracious and sympathetic to others.
