Daily Prayer Day 356

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

May I return to my God,
Maintain mercy and justice,
And wait on my God continually.  (Hosea 12:6)

These are the things I want to do: speak the truth to others, judge with truth and justice for peace, not plot evil against my neighbor, and not love a false oath; for all these things the Lord hates.  (Zechariah 8:16-17)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I will proclaim the name of the Lord and praise the greatness of my God.  (Deuteronomy 32:3)

By this the love of God was manifested to us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  (1 John 4:9-10)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

God is able to keep me from falling and to present me before His glorious presence faultless and with great joy.  (Jude 24)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will keep the feast of Christ, my Passover, not with old leaven, or with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.  (1 Corinthians 5:7-8)

Anyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.  But solid food is for the mature, who because of use have their senses trained to distinguish good from evil.  Therefore I will leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity.  (Hebrews 5:13-6:1)

Lord, I thank You for the greatness of Your name and for the love You manifested through the gift of Your only begotten Son.  I thank You that You will present me before Your glorious presence, and I ask that I would live in sincerity and truth and grow into maturity in Christ.
