I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.
O Lord my God, may I fear You, walk in all Your ways, love You, and serve You with all my heart and with all my soul. (Deuteronomy 10:12)
I have not been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me. I do not consider myself yet to have attained it, but one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and stretching forward to what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:12-14)
Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
I will be still and know that You are God; You will be exalted among the nations, You will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10)
One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works. People shall speak of the might of Your awesome works, and I will proclaim Your great deeds. (Psalm 145:4-6)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
I have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that I might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that I might bear fruit to God. But now, by dying to what once bound me, I have been released from the law so that I serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter. (Romans 7:4, 6)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
Surely the righteous will give thanks to Your name; the upright will dwell in Your presence. (Psalm 140:13)
I will let my eyes look straight ahead, and fix my gaze straight before me. I will ponder the path of my feet so that all my ways will be established. I will not turn to the right or to the left but keep my foot from evil. (Proverbs 4:25-27)
Lord, I thank You for the glorious splendor of Your majesty and for Your wonderful works. I thank You that I now belong to Christ who freed me from bondage to that which condemned me, and I ask that I would dwell in Your presence and keep my foot from evil.
