I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.
Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
Who walks in His ways. (Psalm 128:1)
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
Who put their hope in His unfailing love. (Psalm 147:11)
Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
Your word is settled in heaven forever, O Lord. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; You established the earth, and it stands. They continue to this day according to Your ordinances, for all things serve You. (Psalm 119:89-91)
One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome works, and I will proclaim Your great deeds. (Psalm 145:4-6)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I will yet praise Him for the help of His presence. O my God, my soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember You. Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (Psalm 42:5-6, 11)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
I will not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34)
I do not want to lay up treasure for myself without being rich toward God. (Luke 12:21)
Lord, I thank You that all things serve You and that You and Your works are wonderful. I thank You that I can find comfort through hope in You, and I ask that I do not worry about worldly things, but seek to be rich toward You.
