Daily Prayer Day 57

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

Blessed are You, O Lord, God of Israel, our father, forever and ever.  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.  Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.  Both riches and honor come from You, and You are the ruler of all things.  In Your hand is power and might to exalt and to give strength to all.  Therefore, my God, I give You thanks and praise Your glorious name.  (1 Chronicles 29:10-13)

I will proclaim the name of the Lord and praise the greatness of my God.  (Deuteronomy 32:3)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is His name.  His mercy is on those who fear Him, from generation to generation.  (Luke 1:46-47, 49-50)

In the past God spoke to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.  (Hebrews 1:1-2)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Having the firstfruits of the Spirit, I groan inwardly as I wait eagerly for my adoption, the redemption of my body.  For in hope I have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he sees?  But if I hope for what I do not yet see, I eagerly wait for it with perseverance.  (Romans 8:23-25)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Godliness with contentment is great gain.  For I brought nothing into the world, and I can take nothing out of it.  But if I have food and clothing, with these I will be content.  (1 Timothy 6:6-8)

A generous man will prosper, and he who waters will himself be refreshed.  (Proverbs 11:25)

Lord, I thank You for Your goodness to me and for the revelation of Your Son.  I thank You for the hope of my resurrection, and I ask that I would content with what You have given me.
