Daily Prayer Day 79

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

"Even now," declares the Lord,
"Return to Me with all your heart,
With fasting and weeping and mourning.
So rend your heart and not your garments."
Return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness,
And He relents from sending calamity.  (Joel 2:12-13)

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake,
And I will not remember your sins.  (Isaiah 43:25)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

You are the Lord, the God of all mankind.  Nothing is too difficult for You.  (Jeremiah 32:27)

God sent His word to the children of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.  He commanded the apostles to preach to the people and to testify that He is the One whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.  To Him all the prophets witness that through His name, everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.  (Acts 10:36, 42-43)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved me,  made me alive with Christ, even when I was dead in transgressions; it is by grace I have been saved.  (Ephesians 2:4-5)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.  (Isaiah 5:20)

We must take heed to ourselves and to all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made us overseers to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.  (Acts 20:28)

Lord, I thank You that You are the God of all mankind and that everyone who believes in Christ will receive forgiveness of sins.  I thank You for the richness of Your mercy, and I ask that I would take heed to myself and guide others into the truth of Your word.
