Daily Prayer Day 84

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.  (Psalm 34:6-7)

I waited patiently for the Lord,
And He turned to me and heard my cry.
God lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
And put their trust in the Lord.  (Psalm 40:1-3)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I will give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His lovingkindness endures forever.  (Psalm 118:1)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.  Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.  (James 1:17-18)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand.  You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me to glory.  (Psalm 73:23-24)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.  But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.  (Jeremiah 17:5, 7)

The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the Lord is set on high.  (Proverbs 29:25)

Lord, I thank You that Your lovingkindness endures forever and that Your perfect gifts flow out of Your unchanging character.  I thank You for Your continual presence, and I ask that I would keep my trust in You rather than the promises of people.
