Daily Prayer Day 99

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

The Son of Man will come with the clouds of heaven.  In the presence of the Ancient of Days, He will be given dominion and glory and a kingdom, so that all peoples, nations, and men of every language will worship Him.  His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.  (Daniel 7:13-14)

Jesus is my Lord and my God.  (John 20:28)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord is on His heavenly throne.  He observes the sons of men; His eyes examine them.  (Psalm 11:4)

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies proclaim the work of His hands.  Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.  (Psalm 19:1-2)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.  (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Blessed is the man who listens to wisdom, watching daily at her gates, waiting at her doorposts.  For whoever finds wisdom finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.  But he who sins against her injures his own soul; all who hate her love death.  (Proverbs 8:34-36)

I will receive the words of wisdom and treasure her commands within me, turning my ear to wisdom and applying my heart to understanding.  If I cry for discernment and lift up my voice for understanding, if I seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures, then I will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.  (Proverbs 2:1-5)

Lord, I thank You for Your sovereign majesty and for the heavens that proclaim the work of Your hands.  I ask that I would rejoice and be thankful in all things and that I would listen to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding.
