Daily Scripture Faith, Trust, and Dependence: Part 1

When Israel saw the great power the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in Him and in Moses His servant.  (Exodus 14:31)

Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel, so that there was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him.  He held fast to the Lord and did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments.  (2 Kings 18:5-6)

I will not depend on human strength, but on the Lord my God for help and deliverance.  (2 Chronicles 16:7-8, 12)

In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will set my prayers before You and I will look to You.  (Psalm 5:3)

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but I will remember the name of the Lord my God.  (Psalm 20:7)

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  (Psalm 27:1)

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.  My heart greatly rejoices, and I will give thanks to Him in song.  (Psalm 28:7)

I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!  (Psalm 34:8)

I will trust in the Lord and do good; I will dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness.  I will delight myself in the Lord, and He will give me the desires of my heart.  I will commit my way to the Lord and trust in Him, and He will bring it to pass.  I will rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; I will not fret because of him who prospers in his way, with the man who practices evil schemes.  (Psalm 37:3-5, 7)

Lord, all my longings are before You, and my sighing is not hidden from You.  (Psalm 38:9)
