Daily Scripture Prayers of Confession: Part 2

When I have sinned against You, hear from heaven and forgive my sin and restore me.  Teach me the good way in which I should walk.  When I sin against You—for there is no one who does not sin—may I return to You with all my heart and with all my soul.  (1 Kings 8:33-34, 36, 46, 48)

The Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.  (2 Chronicles 30:9)

O my God, I am too ashamed and disgraced to lift up my face to you, my God, because my sins have risen higher than my head and my guilt has reached to the heavens.  (Ezra 9:6)

O Lord, God of heaven, You are the great and awesome God, keeping Your covenant of loyal love with those who love You and obey Your commands.  Let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open so that You may hear the prayer Your servant is praying before You day and night.  I confess the sins I have committed against You.  (Nehemiah 1:5-6)

You have been just in all that has happened to me; You have acted faithfully, while I did wrong.  (Nehemiah 9:33)

Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can a man be more pure than his Maker?  (Job 4:17)

What is man that You should magnify him,
That you should set Your heart on him,
That You examine him every morning
And test him every moment?  (Job 7:17-18)

God is wise in heart and mighty in strength.
Who has resisted Him without harm?  (Job 9:4)

Does God not see my ways
And count all my steps?  (Job 31:4)

God’s eyes are on the ways of a man,
And He sees all his steps.
There is no darkness or deep shadow
Where the workers of iniquity can hide.
He does not need to examine a man further,
That he should go before God in judgment.  (Job 34:21-23)
