Daily Scripture Prayers of Renewal: Part 8

May I be a faithful person who fears God.  (Nehemiah 7:2)

Mordecai sent word to Esther, "Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape.  For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.  And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"  (Esther 4:13-14)

Like Job, may I be blameless and upright, fearing God and shunning evil.  (Job 1:1)

May I be careful that no one entices me by riches; do not let a large bribe turn me aside.  (Job 36:18)

May I serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.  (Psalm 2:11)

Examine me, O Lord, and try me;
Purify my mind and my heart;
For Your lovingkindness is ever before me,
And I have walked in Your truth.  (Psalm 26:2-3)

May I trust in the Lord and do good; may I dwell in the land and feed on Your faithfulness.  When I delight myself in the Lord, You will give me the desires of my heart.  I will commit my way to the Lord and trust in You, and You will bring it to pass.  You will bring forth my righteousness like the light, and my justice like the noonday.  May I rest in the Lord and wait patiently for You; I will not fret because of him who prospers in his way, with the man who practices evil schemes.  (Psalm 37:3-7)

May I not be like the man who did not make God his strength but trusted in the abundance of his wealth and strengthened himself in his evil desires.  (Psalm 52:7)

Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.  (Psalm 86:11)

Teach me to number my days,
That I may gain a heart of wisdom.  (Psalm 90:12)
