DILIGENTLY PURSUE WISDOM

Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man
who gains understanding, for its profit is greater
than that of silver, and its gain than fine gold.
She is more precious than jewels,
and nothing I desire can compare with her.
Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who embrace her,
and happy are those who hold her fast.
(Proverbs 3:13–18)

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
he who keeps understanding will find good.
(Proverbs 19:8)

Dear Lord, I pray for the gift of growing wisdom and understanding. These come directly from Your hand, and I ask for this tree of life. May I hold tightly to wisdom and walk in her paths so that I will be pleasing to You and fruitful in the good works You have chosen for me to do. Amen.
