Daily Encouragement: Year 1, Day 65

From Handbook to Renewal

The Attributes of God

Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise in the city of our God, His holy mountain. As is Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is filled with righteousness. (Psalm 48:1, 10)

The Lord Jesus Christ received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory who said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (2 Peter 1:17)

The Works of God

God’s grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time and has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (2 Timothy 1:910)

We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Hebrews 2:910)

My Relationship to God

I will praise You, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. (Psalm 9:12)

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous; praise is becoming to the upright. (Psalm 33:1)

The Character I Want to Cultivate

I will not be dishonest in judgment, in measurement of weight or quantity. I will be honest and just in my business affairs. (Leviticus 19:3536)

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. (Proverbs 11:3)

My Relationship to Others

I will pursue the things that lead to peace and to mutual edification. (Romans 14:19)

We should bear with one another in love and make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:23)
