The Attributes of God

You are the righteous God, who searches the hearts and secret thoughts. (Psalm 7:9)

All a man’s ways are right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts. (Proverbs 21:2)

The Works of God

Like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, a great multitude will shout, “Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.” Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. (Revelation 19:6–7, 9)

John saw heaven opened, and there before him was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows except Himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. And the armies of heaven, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword with which He will strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:11–16)

My Relationship to God

Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders You have done, and Your thoughts toward us no one can recount to You; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare. (Psalm 40:5)

God chose me in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined me to be adopted as His son through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He bestowed upon me in the One He loves. (Ephesians 1:4–6)

The Character I Want to Cultivate

I want to be worthy of respect, not double-tongued, not addicted to wine, not fond of dishonest gain, but holding the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. (1 Timothy 3:8–9)

The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly passions and to live sensibly, righteously, and godly in the present age. (Titus 2:11–12)

My Relationship to Others

Above all, I will have a fervent love for others, because love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:10–12)
