Daily Prayer: Day 127

From Simple Prayers, Day 127

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, Your goodness, and Your love, and I now draw near to enjoy Your presence.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand,
Or marked off the heavens with the breadth of his hand?
Who has calculated the dust of the earth in a measure,
Or weighed the mountains in the balance
And the hills in scales? (Isaiah 40:12)

You are the Lord, and there is no other;
Apart from You there is no God.
From the rising to the setting of the sun,
We know there is none besides You.
You are the Lord, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:5–6)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord Jesus, who is holy and true, holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. (Revelation 3:7)

Where Jesus went, the blind received sight, the lame walked, the lepers were cured, the deaf heard, the dead were raised up, and the good news was preached to the poor. (Matthew 11:5)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Just as I presented the members of my body as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing lawlessness, so I now present my members as slaves to righteousness, leading to holiness. (Romans 6:19)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool will be thrown down. (Proverbs 10:8)

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel. (Proverbs 12:15)

Lord, I thank You that the Lord Jesus holds the key of David and that He was a servant to those in need. I ask that I would present my members as slaves to righteousness and that I would be wise in heart and listen to counsel.
