Daily Prayer: Day 143

From Simple Prayers, Day 143

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

I will not let sin reign in my mortal body that I should obey its lusts. Nor will I present the members of my body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but I will present myself to God as one who is alive from the dead and my members as instruments of righteousness to God. (Romans 6:12–13)

May I put away all filthiness and the overflow of wickedness, and in meekness accept the word planted in me, which is able to save my soul. (James 1:21)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. (Isaiah 6:3)

Our Lord Jesus Christ gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. (Galatians 1:3–5)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

God has saved me and called me with a holy calling, not according to my works but according to His own purpose and grace. (2 Timothy 1:9)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

A righteous man guides his friends, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. (Proverbs 12:26)

I will not plan evil against my neighbor, since he lives trustfully by me. (Proverbs 3:29)

Lord, I thank You for the richness of Your glory and for rescuing me from the present evil age. I thank You for saving me and calling me with a holy calling, and I ask that I would be gracious to my friends and neighbors.
