Daily Prayer: Day 165

From Simple Prayers, Day 165

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.

May my conscience testify that I have conducted myself in the world in the holiness and sincerity that are from God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, especially in my relations with others. (2 Corinthians 1:12)

Take a moment to share your personal needs with God, including your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:6, 8)

Both Jews and Greeks must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:21)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

The Lord is faithful, who will strengthen me and protect me from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife’s body does not belong to her alone, but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone, but also to his wife. (1 Corinthians 7:3–4)

Each husband must love his own wife as he loves himself, and each wife must respect her husband. (Ephesians 5:33)

Lord, I thank You for being compassionate and gracious and for Your gift of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. I thank You for protecting me from the evil one, and I ask that I would be faithful in my service to others.
