Daily Prayer: Day 166

From Simple Prayers, Day 166

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

May I contribute to the needs of the saints and practice hospitality. (Romans 12:13)

May I rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. (Romans 12:15)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord’s lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 117:2)

Those who show contempt for the riches of God’s kindness, forbearance, and patience do not realize that the kindness of God leads toward repentance. (Romans 2:4)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

The Lord my God wants me to fear Him, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, and to serve the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul. (Deuteronomy 10:12)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. The one who sows to please his flesh will reap corruption; the one who sows to please the Spirit will of the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7–8)

Whatever I do, whether in word or in deed, I will do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)

Lord, I thank You for the greatness of Your love and truth and for the riches of Your kindness, forbearance, and patience. I ask that I would walk in Your ways by loving and serving You and that I would do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus.
