I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

May I owe nothing to anyone except to love them, for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:8–10)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I will proclaim the name of the Lord and praise the greatness of my God. (Deuteronomy 32:3)

By this the love of God was manifested to us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:9–10)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalm 63:3–4)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

We should ask that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in others, and they in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:12)

We should bear with one another in love and make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2–3)

Lord, I thank You for Your greatness and for the love that You manifested in sending Your only begotten Son into the world. I thank You that Your lovingkindness is better than life, and I ask that I would seek to honor the name of Jesus Christ and show forbearance to others.
