Daily Prayer: Day 175

From Simple Prayers, Day 175

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

I will give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
His lovingkindness endures forever.
I will give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love
And His wonderful acts to the children of men,
For He satisfies the thirsty soul
And fills the hungry soul with good things. (Psalm 107:1, 8–9)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

God is exalted beyond our understanding; the number of His years is unsearchable. (Job 36:26)

When Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this creation. Not through the blood of goats and calves but through His own blood, He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:11–12)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will exult in the Lord; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and enables me to go on the heights. (Habakkuk 3:18–19)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

We must all attain to unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God to a mature man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we will no longer be infants, being blown and carried around by every wind of doctrine, by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in all things into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. (Ephesians 4:13–15)

We must not forsake our meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another, and all the more as we see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)

Lord, I thank You that You are exalted beyond my understanding and that Christ obtained eternal redemption as my high priest. I thank You for Your salvation, and I ask that I would seek mutual edification in the body of Christ.
