Daily Prayer: Day 181

From Simple Prayers, Day 181

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
To receive power and riches and wisdom
And strength and honor and glory and blessing! (Revelation 5:12)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. (Matthew 16:16)

God highly exalted Christ Jesus and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9–11)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

None of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. (Romans 14:7–8)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I pray that the sharing of my faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in me for Christ’s sake. (Philemon 6)

We are the fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death; to the other, an aroma from life to life. And who is sufficient for these things? (2 Corinthians 2:15–16)

Lord, I thank You that Jesus is the Christ and that You exalted Him above every name. I pray that I would live for Him, and I ask that I would share the fragrance of Christ with those who do not know Him.
