Daily Prayer: Day 192

From Simple Prayers, Day 192

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

May the name of the Lord Jesus be magnified in my life. (Acts 19:17)

In view of God’s mercy, may I present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, which is my reasonable service. (Romans 12:1)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted and justice for the poor. (Psalm 140:12)

Those who had anyone sick with various kinds of diseases brought them to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them. (Luke 4:40)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

You are the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is Your flesh, which You have given for the life of the world. (John 6:51)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I desire to have a clear conscience and to live honorably in all things. (Hebrews 13:18)

As an alien and a stranger in the world, I will abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against my soul. (1 Peter 2:11)

Lord, I thank You for Your compassion for the afflicted and the poor and the way in which Your Son demonstrated that compassion. I thank You that He is the living bread that came down from heaven, and I ask that I would abstain from those things that are displeasing to You.
