Daily Prayer: Day 207

From Simple Prayers, Day 207

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.

I wait for the Lord; my soul waits,
And in His word I put my hope.
I hope in the Lord,
For with Him is unfailing love
And abundant redemption. (Psalm 130:5, 7)

Take a moment to share your personal needs with God, including your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

God will bring every work into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

By the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:5–7)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Since I am a child of God, I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ, if indeed I share in His sufferings in order that I may also share in His glory. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to me. (Romans 8:17–18)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Your commandment is a lamp; Your teaching is a light, and Your reproofs of discipline are the way to life. (Proverbs 6:23)

The hour has come for me to wake up from sleep, for my salvation is nearer now than when I first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. Therefore I will cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. (Romans 13:11–12)

Lord, I thank You that nothing will escape Your perfect judgment and that You created and preserve the heavens and earth by Your word. I thank You that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to me, and I ask that I would walk in the light of Your truth and cast off the works of darkness..
