From Simple Prayers, Day 243

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

We should devote ourselves to prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2)

We should always thank God for other believers, mentioning them in our prayers. (1 Thessalonians 1:2)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to the Son of God. (Matthew 28:18)

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. (Romans 10:4)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. I will worship Him who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and the springs of water. (Revelation 14:7)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

As one who knows righteousness, who has Your law in my heart, I will not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their revilings. (Isaiah 51:7)

I will fear God and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

Lord, I thank You that all authority rests in Christ and that He provides righteousness to all who trust in Him. I thank You that You will judge the world with perfect justice, and I ask that I would fear You more than men.
