From Simple Prayers, Day 258
I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.
Because I am a son, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into my heart, crying, “Abba, Father.” So I am no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God. (Galatians 4:6–7)
Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
You are the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps His covenant of lovingkindness. (Nehemiah 9:32)
The Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1–2)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
I will preserve sound wisdom and discretion, not letting them out of my sight; they will be life to my soul. (Proverbs 3:21–22)
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)
Lord, I thank You that You are mighty and awesome and that Your Son came to seek and to save the lost. I thank You that You are my refuge and my fortress in whom I trust, and I ask that I would preserve wisdom and discretion and lead others to the knowledge of Christ.
