Daily Prayer: Day 276

From Simple Prayers, Day 276

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

Since I live in the Spirit, may I also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25)

May God fill me with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that I may walk worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, so that I may have great endurance and patience with joy. (Colossians 1:9–11)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

God is the Rock; His work is perfect, for all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness and without injustice, upright and just is He. (Deuteronomy 32:4)

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; He was buried, and He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

If anyone wants to be first, he must be the last of all and the servant of all. (Mark 9:35)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of scorners. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and whose leaf does not wither; and whatever he does will prosper. (Psalm 1:1–3)

It is better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud. (Proverbs 16:19)

Lord, I thank You that Your work is perfect and just and that Christ died for my sins and was raised from the dead. I pray that I would learn to be a servant of others, and I ask that I would not imitate the proud and the wicked in this world, but walk with a humble spirit.
