From Simple Prayers, Day 285

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

I pray that the sharing of my faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in me for Christ’s sake. (Philemon 6)

May I have mercy on those who are doubting. (Jude 22)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Long ago You ordained Your plan, and now You are bringing it to pass. (2 Kings 19:25; Isaiah 37:26)

The Lord Jesus was taken up to heaven, after He gave instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen. (Acts 1:2)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Since God has made me adequate as a minister of the new covenant, as I have received mercy, I do not lose heart. (2 Corinthians 3:6; 4:1)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

I want the Lord to establish my heart as blameless and holy before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. (1 Thessalonians 3:13)

Lord, I thank You for Your eternal plan and for Jesus who brought it to pass. I thank You that You have given me the power to fulfill Your purpose for my life, and I ask that I would rejoice in the opportunities You have given me and prepare myself for the day when I will see Christ.
