From Simple Prayers, Day 286
I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.
O Sovereign Lord, You are God! Your words are true, and You have promised good things to Your servant. (2 Samuel 7:28)
Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous;
Praise is becoming to the upright. (Psalm 33:1)
Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
God alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. (Job 9:8)
The day is Yours; the night also is Yours; You established the sun and moon. It was You who set all the boundaries of the earth; You made both summer and winter. (Psalm 74:16–17)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
Through the Spirit, by faith, I eagerly await the righteousness for which I hope. (Galatians 5:5)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil. (Proverbs 15:16)
In my faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, I will not show partiality to some people above others. (James 2:1)
Lord, I thank You for Your creation and for Your authority over the heavens and the earth. I thank You for the hope of righteousness through Your Spirit, and I ask that my faith in Christ would make me a peacemaker.
