From Simple Prayers, Day 315
I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.
Even to my old age, You are the same,
And even to my gray hairs You will carry me.
You have made me, and You will bear me;
You will sustain me and You will deliver me. (Isaiah 46:4)
I will watch in hope for the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me. (Micah 7:7)
Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
I will ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. I will ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name and worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:1–2)
Christ was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, but His own did not receive Him. (John 1:10–11)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will set my prayers before You and I will look to You. (Psalm 5:3)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
You have called us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything You have commanded us. And surely You are with us always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19–20)
As the Father sent the Son into the world, He also has sent us into the world. And He has prayed for those who will believe in Him through our message. (John 17:18, 20)
Lord, I thank You for Your glory and strength and for Christ’s willingness to experience rejection and to bring salvation. I thank You that You hear my prayers, and I ask that I would participate in Your Great Commission to share the message of Christ with others.
