From Simple Prayers, Day 319
I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.
May I live as one who is free, but without using my freedom as a cloak for evil, but as a servant of God. (1 Peter 2:16)
May I never leave my first love. (Revelation 2:4)
Take a moment to share your personal needs with God, including your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
The Lord Jesus is the first and the last, and the Living One; He was dead, and behold He is alive forevermore and holds the keys of death and of Hades. (Revelation 1:17–18)
Jesus told His opponents, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you, therefore, that you would die in your sins, for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:23–24)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
I cry out to You, O Lord, and say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” (Psalm 142:5)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
I will not take vengeance or bear a grudge against others, but I will love my neighbor as myself. (Leviticus 19:18)
Whatever I want others to do to me, I will also do to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 7:12)
Lord, I thank You for the supremacy of the Lord Jesus and for His eternal being. I thank You for being my portion in the land of the living, and I ask that I would love others by treating them as I would wish to be treated.
