Daily Prayer: Day 324

From Simple Prayers, Day 324

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him,
And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7)

Remember, O Lord, Your compassions and Your mercies,
For they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
According to Your loyal love remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. (Psalm 25:6–7)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him. (Habakkuk 2:20)

God raised Jesus from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held by it. (Acts 2:24)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will not let my heart be troubled. I will trust in God and trust also in Christ. (John 14:1)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Whoever is wise understands these things; whoever is discerning knows them. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous will walk in them, but transgressors will stumble in them. (Hosea 14:9)

Though I walk in the flesh, I do not war according to the flesh. The weapons of my warfare are not fleshly, but divinely powerful to overthrow strongholds, casting down arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3–5)

Lord, I thank You that You are in Your holy temple and You conquered sin and death through Your Son. I thank You that I can find comfort by trusting in Christ, and I ask that I would practice wisdom and use the weapons of the Spirit.
