From Simple Prayers, Day 326
I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.
May I have a clear conscience and live honorably in all things. (Hebrews 13:18)
May I not say when I am tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own lust. Then, after lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:13–15)
Take a moment to share your personal needs with God, including your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. (Isaiah 6:3)
Our Lord Jesus Christ gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. (Galatians 1:3–5)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
Like Abraham, I will not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but I want to be strengthened in my faith and give glory to God, being fully persuaded that God is able to do what He has promised. (Romans 4:20–21)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
Above all, I will have a fervent love for others, because love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)
If I forgive men for their transgressions, my heavenly Father will also forgive me. (Matthew 6:14)
Lord, I thank You that the whole earth is full of Your glory and that Jesus Christ gave Himself for my sins. I thank You that You are able to do what You promise, and I ask that I would not harbor any unforgiveness, but that I would have a heartfelt love for others.
