From Simple Prayers, Day 327

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Love the Lord, all you His saints!
The Lord preserves the faithful,
And fully repays the proud doer.
Be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord. (Psalm 31:23–24)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I know that You alone, whose name is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:18)

God placed all things under Christ’s feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:22–23)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Since I live in the Spirit, I will also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

The wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, submissive, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (James 3:17–18)

I will examine all things, hold fast to the good, and abstain from every form of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:21–22)

Lord, I thank You that You are Most High over all the earth and that You placed all things under Your Son’s feet. I pray that I would walk in the power of Your Spirit, and I ask that I would seek the wisdom that comes from You and abstain from every form of evil.
