Daily Prayer: Day 335

From Simple Prayers, Day 335

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

Walking in the way of Your laws,
O Lord, I wait for You;
Your name and Your memory are the desire of my soul. (Isaiah 26:8)

The Lord longs to be gracious and rises to show compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him! (Isaiah 30:18)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6)

The angel said to the shepherds, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10–11)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will not forget the God of my salvation; I will remember the Rock of my refuge. (Isaiah 17:10)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will learn to do good, seek justice, remove the oppressor, defend the orphan, and plead for the widow. (Isaiah 1:17)

I will not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)

Lord, I thank You for the good news that I can have the joy of coming to You through Christ Jesus. I thank You that You are the Rock of my refuge, and I ask that I would do good and share with those who are in need.
