Daily Prayer: Day 344

From Simple Prayers, Day 344

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

I will regard the Lord of hosts as holy;
He shall be my fear,
And He shall be my dread. (Isaiah 8:13)

You are the stability of our times,
A wealth of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge;
The fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. (Isaiah 33:6)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I will give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)

Jesus did not ask that the Father should take us out of the world, but that He protect us from the evil one. He prayed, “Father, I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory, the glory You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:15, 24)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

When I have done all the things which are commanded me, I should realize that I am an unworthy servant; I have only done what I ought to have done. (Luke 17:10)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

From the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate. (Matthew 19:4–6; Mark 10:6–9)

Since she is a companion and a wife by covenant, a husband should not deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. The Lord God of hosts seeks a godly offspring and hates divorce; therefore we must take heed to our spirit and not deal treacherously. (Malachi 2:14–16)

Lord, I thank You that Your love endures forever and that I will be with Jesus and behold His glory. I pray that I will be a faithful servant to You and faithful in my relationships with others.
