Daily Prayer: Day 350

From Simple Prayers, Day 350

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

I will give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
His love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)

In my distress I called to the Lord
And cried to my God for help.
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, into His ears.
He brought me out into a broad place;
He rescued me because He delighted in me. (Psalm 18:6, 19)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The sum of Your words is truth, and all of Your righteous judgments are eternal. (Psalm 119:160)

You will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their iniquity. You will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless. (Isaiah 13:11)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

You are my hiding place and my shield; I have put my hope in Your word. (Psalm 119:114)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22)

I will be diligent to add to my faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are mine in increasing measure, they will keep me from being barren and unfruitful in the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:5–8)

Lord, I thank You that Your righteous judgments are eternal and that You will put an end to iniquity. I thank You for being my hiding place and shield, and I ask that I would pursue righteousness, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness, and love.
