Daily Prayer: Day 362

From Simple Prayers, Day 362

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

May we rejoice, become complete, be of good comfort, be of one mind, and live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with us. (2 Corinthians 13:11)

May I not repay anyone evil for evil, but seek to do what is right in the sight of all men. (Romans 12:17)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I will trust in the Lord forever, for in Yahweh, the Lord, I have an everlasting Rock. (Isaiah 26:4)

To us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on the throne of David and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:6–7)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

None of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. (Romans 14:7–8)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue speaks what is just. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slide. (Psalm 37:30–31)

I know that the Lord has set apart the godly for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him. (Psalm 4:3)

Lord, I thank You that I can always trust in You and that You sent Your mighty Son into the world in fulfillment of Your promises. I thank You that I belong to You, and I ask that I would speak what is wise and just.
