From Simple Prayers, Day 364
I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD
O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.
In Your unfailing love You have led the people You have redeemed.
In Your strength You have guided them to Your holy dwelling.
You brought them in and planted them in the mountain of Your inheritance—
The place, O Lord, You made for Your dwelling;
The sanctuary, O Lord, Your hands have established. (Exodus 15:13, 17)
You are the Lord our God, who brought Your people out of Egypt so that they would no longer be their slaves; You broke the bars of their yoke and enabled them to walk with heads held high. (Leviticus 26:13)
Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests. (Luke 2:14)
The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 11:15)
I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH
We all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD
Those who suffer according to the will of God should commit themselves to their faithful Creator in doing good. (1 Peter 4:19)
Being built up in the most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, I want to keep myself in the love of God as I wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. (Jude 20–21)
Lord, I thank You that all glory and honor belongs to You and that the kingdom of Your Christ will continue forever. I thank You for the process of transformation into the image of Your Son, and I ask that I would commit myself to You and abide in Your love during times of suffering.
