Daily Prayer: Day 78

From Simple Prayers

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, Your goodness, and Your love, and I now draw near to enjoy Your presence.

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphim; each one had six wings: with two they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. And one cried to the other and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6:3)

The Lord God is the Alpha and the Omega, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

You have sworn by Yourself; the word has gone out of Your mouth in righteousness and will not return. Every knee will bow before You, and every tongue will acknowledge You. (Isaiah 45:23)

Jesus said to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.” (John 11:25–26)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for me, so that in Him I might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked will fall by their own wickedness. (Proverbs 11:5)

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. (Proverbs 4:18–19)

Lord, I thank You that Jesus is the resurrection and the life and that every knee will bow before Him. I thank You for the gift of His righteousness, and I ask that I would walk in His power and light.
