Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 12

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Growing in Christ’s Body
(Intercession)

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others; and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
And put away Your anger toward us. . . .
Will You not revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?
Show us Your lovingkindness, O Lord,
And grant us Your salvation. (Psalm 85:4, 6–7)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

I have been born again . . . through the living and abiding word of God. Therefore, I will put away all malice and all guile and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. (1 Peter 1:23; 2:1)

From Christ the whole body is being joined and held together by every supporting ligament, according to the effective working of each individual part, causing the growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:16)

Lord, I thank You that Your ways are righteous and true. You will make all things new. I thank You for reviving me and delivering me in my troubles. May I put away malice and build up others.
