Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 17

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Clinging to His Hope
(Renewal)

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

May I not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove that the will of God is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2)

May the eyes of my heart be enlightened, in order that I may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18–19)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord, and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him

I will not seek glory from people. (1 Thessalonians 2:6)

I will work out my salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in me to will and to act according to His good purpose. (Philippians 2:12–13)

Lord, I praise You for Your compassion and graciousness and for the authority of the resurrected Christ. I thank You for the gift of the new birth. May I seek to please You and depend upon You.
