From A Simple Book of Prayers
Praying for the Lost
(Renewal)
I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.
Like Job, may I be blameless and upright, fearing God and shunning evil. (Job 1:1)
May I be careful to lead a blameless life.
May I walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house.
May I set no wicked thing before my eyes. (Psalm 101:2–3)
Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord, and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.
I should offer petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings on behalf of all men. . . . This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1–4)
I pray that God may open to me a door for the word so that I may speak the mystery of Christ and proclaim it clearly, as I ought to speak. (Colossians 4:3–4)
Lord, I praise You for Your rule over all things and for the earthly ministry of Jesus. I thank You for the power of Your Word, and I ask that I would intercede in prayer for others.
