Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 26

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Praising God’s Work
(Intercession)

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others; and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

If two of you agree on earth about anything they may ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Where two or three come together in My name, I am there in their midst. (Matthew 18:19–20)

May we be devoted to one another in brotherly love, honoring one another above ourselves. (Romans 12:10)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

I will regard the Lord of hosts as holy;
He shall be my fear,
And He shall be my dread. (Isaiah 8:13)

What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:4–5)

Lord, I praise You for the magnificent work of Your elegant, intricate, and beautiful created order. You are exalted in power, yet You are mindful of Your people. May I hold You in highest honor and holy respect.
