Daily Prayer: Year 1, Day 27

From A Simple Book of Prayers

Being Still and Being Unified
(Affirmation)

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth but also express it in the way I live.

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
From everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen. (Psalm 41:13)

I will be still and know that You are God;
You will be exalted among the nations,
You will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture, and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

The integrity of the upright guides them. (Proverbs 11:3)

The Lord Jesus prayed these words for the unity of all who would believe in Him: “I ask that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You, that they also may be in Us . . . that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them, even as You have loved Me.” (John 17:21–23)

Lord, I praise You for the perfection of Your way and for the blood of Christ that makes me righteous in Your sight. You have blessed me with every spiritual blessing. May I live in integrity and seek unity with other believers.
