Calling on Him
(Renewal)

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

May the Lord my God be with me . . . may You never leave me nor forsake me. Incline my heart to You, to walk in all Your ways and to keep Your commands and Your statutes and Your judgments. (1 Kings 8:57–58)

As one who knows righteousness, who has Your law in my heart, may I not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their revilings. (Isaiah 51:7)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord, and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.

You, the Lord, alone have declared what is to come from the distant past. There is no God apart from You, a righteous God and a Savior. (Isaiah 45:21–22)

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them. (Psalm 145:18–19)

Lord, I praise You that You alone are the unchanging, ever-present, compassionate God of heaven and earth, and You are in authority over all things. May I call upon You in truth.
