Remembering His Goodness
(Confession)

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of Your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

When my soul was fainting away,
I remembered the Lord,
And my prayer went up to You, to Your holy temple.
I will fulfill what I have vowed.
Salvation is from the Lord. (Jonah 2:7, 9)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord, and thank Him for His forgiveness.

When I am blessed with abundance, I will beware lest my heart becomes proud, and I forget the Lord my God who provided all good things, thinking that it was my power and the strength of my hand that brought this wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:12–14, 17)

All things are for our sakes so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:15)

Lord, I thank You for Christ and for His sufferings on my behalf. I thank You that I have the power to walk in the Spirit, and I acknowledge You as the source of every good thing. May I be generous to others.
